Charanga Music World is designed to run on all modern PCs or Macs without the need for installing any additional software. The only software you may need to install is Adobe Flash - this is a free plugin that is used on millions of websites, and often comes pre-installed on most modern internet browsers. If you do not have Flash, this guide will show you how to install it.

On Charanga Music World, we are now supporting second-generation and later iPads (running iOS 6.1 onwards). There is no app to download; the wesbite is accessed and played on an iPad using the standard Safari browser. The resources in Musical School (the teaching companion site to Music World) are in the process of being made iPad compatible and will upgraded ready for September 2014.
Using the site
Before you can get started with Charanga Music World you will need to create an account. This is just like signing up to any other website - you need to provide a few details to personalise your account before you get going.
The world features a full course that will help you learn and practise your instrument. By exploring the world and completing all the materials you come across on your journey, you’ll discover and learn more about your instrument and about the world of music as a whole.
Hovering outside of your World is the Moon - just like the moon around Earth, but easier to get to!
Your avatar is a little version of you that exists in Charanga Music World. You can choose how they look, what clothes they wear - even give them a silly hat if you like!

Your pupils can now be given access to Charanga Music World in two ways. Historically, pupils signed-up individually using a token you gave them via a letter, on a "self-service" basis. We still support this method, but you may prefer the new way, which lets you quickly and easily create logins for an entire class.
